Patient Access Representative/Call Center

The Patient Access Rep (Full-Time Rotating Schedule) performs outpatient and inpatient registration functions. Provides general
information to hospital users, patients and families. Ensures that patients meet financial
requirements. Provides excellent patient focused customer service. Communicates effectively to
service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.

Essential Functions:
Register patients with accurate demographic and insurance information. Ensure proper search for
patients via the Master Patient Index. Ensure cash collection of co-pays and deductibles and
coinsurance. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the
Hospital. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Patient Screener for Major Philadelphia Hospital

Performs COVID19 screening for staff members and patients entering the facility. Will be using a scanner and documenting symptoms, travel history, body temperature. Directs individuals to other locations on campus and provides customer service related support as needed. Requires excellent customer service skills, ability to enter information into a scanner (previous scanning experience is a plus) Must have a copy of High School Diploma/GED.

Patient Interview experience is a plus. Must have six months of previous customer service experience, excellent communication skills and professional presentation.

Diagnostic Medical Coder (will need to work ON SITE)

Location is @ Philadelphia Hospital 


Responsible for assigning ICD-9-CM diagnostic and procedural codes to patient accounts.




· Assign appropriate codes using International Classification of Disease system (ICD-9) and/or Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) for diagnosis, procedures and services.


· Responsible for correctly coding claims based on the services a patient receives in order to obtain reimbursement from insurance or government healthcare programs.


· Read and analyze patient records extracting precise information from documentation, test results and reports.


· Request diagnosis from physicians when not recorded on discharge and in cases where information is incomplete.


· Maintain confidentiality regarding patient care information and chart contents.


· Inform administrator of any incongruousness noted in the chart record.


· When appropriate clarify diagnosis, conditions and treatment information by working with the physician according to company policy and procedure.


· Process physician reports needed to code appropriately and accurately.




· High school diploma or equivalent required.


· Certificate or associate’s degree in medical coding or related field preferred.


· Two or more years’ of medical billing/collections/coding preferred.


· Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required.

Linen Workers

An established hospital in Philadelphia is seeking someone to work in their linen department to transport heavy tanks of used linen throughout the facility.

This is a very physical position that requires being able to push/pull a heavy weight throughout the shift. Employees are expected to make two rounds daily and accurately record their rounds and pick-ups. Seeking a candidate that is professional, reliable and efficient. Candidates are required to meet requirements specific to employment in a hospital.
